Q:
How much will it cost me to listen to The Freeway
online?
A:
The Freeway is FREE! We pay, you
play. But donations are great to help us out and show support
for our mission. Your money will be used to cover licensing
and broadcasting fees. Visit the Donate
page to show your support.
Q:
Do I need to download software to listen to The
Freeway?
A:
The Freeway works using both an embedded player and stand-alone
players such as Real Player, WinAmp, Windows Media Player and
iTunes. If you do not have a stand-alone player installed on
your computer, make sure to click on the embedded player link
on the Tune In page.
The Windows Media Player plugin for this embedded player comes
with most browsers.
If
you do not have a stand-alone player and you would like to download
one, visit one of these sites:
Q:
Can I record music from The Freeway?
A:
No. We're glad to have you listen all day, day after day if
you like. But our music licensing FORBIDS recording our streams.
We pay to provide this service and your IP address will be BANNED
if you abuse it by automaticly re-connecting with known streamripping
players like sr-POSIX, FreeAmp or RadioTracker.
If
you hear a song you like on The Freeway, please consider purchasing
it through an Amazon.com or iTunes.com link on our site.
Q: Why can't I hear any music?
A:
Occasionally our site does experience hiccups. Feel free to
send us an e-mail if you think that is the case at webmaster@freewayradio.com.
Most
of the time the problem can be fixed by adjusting browser and
filtering software settings. Be sure to allow streaming media.
And in the case of the embedded player, allow cookies and javascript
in your browser settings.
If
you hear the audio but experience frequent breaks in a song,
you may have a bandwith problem. Consider listening to the dial-up
stream rather than broadband stream, or wait there is less traffic
on your network.
Q:
I'm having trouble listening to The Freeway on
WinAmp because my office has a firewall installed. What can
I do?
A:
Click
here to access an alternative version of the radio stream.
Q:

phone?
